Booking Terms

01Bookings and quotes

• You can book by phone on 07519 649163 or through the booking form on our website.
• A booking is confirmed once we have agreed the price, pick-up time and journey details with you.
• Please check your confirmation carefully and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.

02Prices

• All prices are fixed and agreed before you travel. The price quoted is the price you pay, with no hidden extras.
• Published fares are from Stratford-upon-Avon town. Pick-ups from other locations are quoted individually.
• Airport drop-off charges are included in the fare. If you’d like a meet and greet inside arrivals, the airport parking charge is added.
• Birmingham Airport pick-ups between 23:00 and 07:00, and all day on Sunday, are charged at our night rate. The rate goes by your pick-up time.
• If you add stops or change the route on the day, the fare may change. We’ll always tell you before we set off.

03Payment

• Payment is due at the end of the journey.
• We accept debit cards, credit cards and cash.

04Cancellations

• You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your pick-up time.
• If you cancel with less notice, we may charge 50% of the fare.
• If we arrive and you don’t travel without letting us know, we may charge 50% of the fare.
• If we ever have to cancel, we will tell you as soon as possible and refund anything you have paid.

05Waiting time and flight delays

• We monitor all inbound flights and adjust your pick-up time if your flight lands early or late. There is no charge for flight delays.
• We’ll wait as long as it takes, as long as you keep in touch with us. We won’t leave you stranded.
• If you’d like a meet and greet inside arrivals, the airport parking charge is added to the fare.
• We don’t usually charge if you’re a few minutes late. If you’re delayed, please let us know, as parking charges or restrictions may apply.
• On wait-and-return journeys, waiting time is charged at £25 an hour and the return journey is free.

06Passengers and luggage

• Our car carries up to 4 passengers.
• Please tell us how much luggage you’re bringing when you book, including any large items such as golf clubs or pushchairs. If your luggage won’t fit safely, we may not be able to carry it.
• Passengers travelling with babies or young children should bring their own suitable child car seat. You are responsible for making sure children are safely secured.
• Seat belts must be worn at all times.

07In the car

• Smoking and vaping are not allowed in the vehicle.
• We may refuse to carry anyone who is abusive or whose behaviour puts the driver or other passengers at risk.
• If the car is soiled, we may charge the council’s set soiling fee of £65.
• If the car is damaged, you will be responsible for the cost of the repair.

08Delays and missed flights

We plan every journey to arrive in good time and will keep you informed if anything changes. Please allow the time your airline recommends for check-in and security.

We are not responsible for missed flights, trains or appointments caused by events outside our control, such as accidents, road closures or severe weather. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

09Lost property

We check the car after every journey. If you think you’ve left something behind, call us on 07519 649163 and we’ll arrange to return it. Items not claimed within 28 days may be disposed of.

10Questions and complaints

If anything isn’t right with your journey, please contact us and we’ll do our best to sort it out quickly.

1st Area Cars is licensed as a private hire operator by Stratford-on-Avon District Council. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
